David FincherGetting his start in science fiction and music videos, David Fincher moved into the mainstream with dark and gritty thrillers. He is part of a rare group of film makers that have managed to garner incredible popularity and success while maintaining artistic credibility.

His visual style frequently makes use of a muted color palette, often using techniques like bleach bypass and stylistic color grading. He uses very selective, narrow lighting and cautious camera movements to enhance a sense of foreboding in his work.
