Alexandre AjaA key member of the Splat Pack, Alex Aja is known for directing brutal and relentless horror films. In 2003 the french director broke into the American mainstream at the age of twenty four. He quickly garnered a reputation for creating some of the most violent films of the decade.

Like most of the directors in the genre, Alexandre Aja’s films see a notoriously large amount of cuts and revisions before making it to cinemas. They are heavily censored with edit after edit before they receive their usual R ratings. Aja has an unusual amount of understanding regarding the cuts. He’s a big proponent of unrated and director’s cut DVDs as a way to see see a film in a fresh light.
